Good Measure - West Coast Pilsner

Good Measure is a modern West Coast Pilsner brewed for science - and for drinking. Created as part of a research project with Hāpi Research and Freestyle Hops, the beer explores how hop compounds like thiols, terpenes and esters make their way from raw hops into the finished glass.

Built on a crisp pilsner base, it features thiol-led Nelson Sauvin alongside terpene-driven Southern Cross from Freestyle Hops. During fermentation these compounds are transformed by the yeast, unlocking bound thiols and reshaping hop oils through processes like biotransformation and esterification, amplifying the bright aromatics that carry through to the final beer.

The result is a bright, expressive pils with layers of gooseberry, citrus zest and fresh tropical fruit character, all wrapped in a snappy, refreshing finish.
